Colleen Zajac, Partner, President, Broker, ABR®
Colleen is a co-founder, partner and broker of record of Monarch Realty. A multi-million dollar producer for the past several years in a row, Colleen credits her continued success to her cutting edge knowledge of current real estate trends and how the economy impacts the housing market.
An Adams native, she has over 26 years experience in the real estate industry, and, like the Monarch Butterfly, she will travel the distance to serve her clients! Colleen’s client and customer base spans all over Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and reaches across the border into southern Vermont.
Genuine compassion, keen resourcefulness, and high energy combined with a thorough knowledge of the area are the qualities she offers to clients and customers.

Doreen T. Coones, Partner, Vice President, ABR®
Doreen is a co-founder and partner of Monarch Realty and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She is a magna cum laude graduate of North Adams State College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in accounting and management.
She brings to the family business an exciting and diversified career just as colorful as the vibrant Monarch Butterfly! She has 29 years’ extensive experience in management, planning and marketing and possesses an in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry. She is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®).

Kim Coones, Partner, Treasurer, Secretary, REALTOR®
Kim, a co-founder and partner of Monarch Realty, has an associates of science degree in electrical engineering. An Air Force veteran, she is exceptionally multi-talented and her professional background includes over 30 years experience in management, technology, corporate finance and public relations.

Mitchell Zajac, Partner, Director, REALTOR®
Mitch is a co-founder and partner of Monarch Realty. Born and raised in Adams, he began working in the woods as a timber harvester while still in high school. When he graduated from Hoosac Valley High School, he was already an accomplished woodsman.
Mitch’s free-spirited temperament and outstanding entrepreneurial attributes led to an exciting and successful career in the forestry and realty industries! His love of the area and his heart-felt passion for the environment, along with his profound aptitude and knowledge of the local topography heightens his expertise in real estate.
He concentrates on rural properties, homes with several acres, horse farms, building lots, raw acreage and land development. Mitch is dedicated to helping his clients fulfill their real estate goals and works hard to help them achieve their dreams!

Deb Kirk, REALTOR®
Born and raised in Adams and Cheshire, Deb graduated from Adams High School. Continuing onto college, she received her bachelor’s degree from North Adams State College, majoring in math and a master’s degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, again majoring in Math.
Deb began her real estate career here at Monarch Realty 5 years ago. Since then she has successfully listed and sold several homes in Berkshire County! An experienced real estate professional, she is committed to making every real estate transaction a positive experience.
Deb has a keen eye for detail and provides free staging tips to her seller clients. Her outgoing personality and superb counseling skills provide her buyer clients with a thorough understanding of the home buying process. She protects all her client’s interests while maintaining a high level of integrity to all her clients, customers and peers.
Deb recently retired after devoting 30 years to a career in the educational vocation. A retiree and 2nd home owner herself, she particularly enjoys working with retirees and vacation/2nd home buyers!
Paul Clark, REALTOR®
Paul Clark grew up in Schenectady and Albany NY. His long career in retail sales started when he worked for K-Mart while in high school. Even as he lived and worked in New York State ’s Capital District, he became aware of the charms of the city of Pittsfield and the Berkshires. So when the opportunity presented itself 20 years ago, Paul opened the Pittsfield Furniture Company and never looked back.
Paul likes working with commercial and investment properties, especially the ones that can be restored and brought back to good working condition with positive cash flows. He also enjoys working with waterfront properties because of their appreciation factor and all the great activities they offer a family.
When he’s not working, Paul likes to spend time with his wife and their seven year old daughter. The family enjoys boating and fishing on OnotaLake. A six year member of the Porsche Club of America Paul loves racing around at LimeRock. “The cars are great and racing is really a thrill, but the best part about the activity is the great people you meet. A few years back I met the actor, Paul Newman, who is a long time racer.”
No one works harder than Paul when it comes to community service! He is a member of the Hillcrest Educational Board of Directors and currently serves on two committees: (1) the Quality Assurance Committee, and (2) the Development Committee.

Michele Rohlfs, REALTOR®
An Adams native, Michele is a proud graduate of Mildred Elley, receiving a certificate as an Account Systems Sepcialist. Her life long interest in real estate and her selfless devotion to serving the community convinced her to become a full-time REALTOR.
Michele has chosen Monarch Realty to launch her real estate career. A full-time and dedicated REALTOR, her #1 goal is quite simple, to provide her clients and customers with the highest degree of professional service while putting their needs/desires/dreams first!
